Did you purchase an item that was never delivered? Has one of your pets gone missing? Don’t worry! The Chronicles of Mystica boasts a very powerful redelivery system – one which gives you the control that some systems reserve for CSRs, developers, and admins! No more having to wait in long queues for support or waiting for a visit from a representative you have to add to your land list or security devices. YOU have the tools to remedy most of your issues directly from your own HUD!
First, let’s clear up some terminology:
REDELIVERY is how you regain items you purchased that never reached your inventory
RECALLING is how you regain a lost or runaway pet.
LOST pets are gone because of a Second Life issue: an asset server problem, inventory loss, accidental deletion, etc.
RUNAWAY pets are gone because of a gameplay issue: they ran out of Food and they ran away.
Recalling a Lost pet is always free, but Recalling a starved Runaway pet costs 99 Magika.
REDELIVERING PURCHASES:
So you bought a Chronicles of Mystica item, like a Home or Starter Pack, but it never showed up in your inventory. Not to worry – you can have it redelivered! To begin the redelivery process, simply click the “Login” button at the top of your HUD.z
You will immediately see a dialog box asking if you’d like to visit the website in your external browser, so that you can view your Personal Profile. Click the “Go To Page” button.
Now you are on your Personal Profile – the repository of all your game information. This is where all your data is stored for safekeeping from Second Life’s vulnerabilities. So, even if you lose an item due to problems with the asset server or region restarts, you can always retrieve it: our system remembers what you have.
After the login screen, press Continue to see your Overview page.
Next, go to the Redelivery tab, the next-to-last tab on the right.
Your Redelivery page shows all of the content you’ve purchased from official vendors. You can select any one of them from the dropdown menus, then click “Redeliver” to initiate an immediate delivery of your item!
If you have lost multiples of the same item, you will repeat the process for each lost item. Don’t worry about accidentally receiving too many! Since all your purchases are stored in the database, it knows how many of which item you should have right now. So, even if you initiated a redelivery of a starter pack 50 times, but only purchased one, it will only allow you to rez the contents of one starter pack. (If you try to rez additional content that you didn’t pay for, those items will simply delete themselves immediately after rezzing!)
RECALLING LOST OR RUNAWAY PETS:
If a pet has wandered off or vanished altogether, and is not in your inventory or in any of the usual places, you can Recall it back to its Home via your Personal Page. There are actually two methods of doing this: the Profile Way and the HUD Way. Both begin by clicking on the Pets tab in the menu.
This will display the page containing all of your Mystics, including PetalPods! Here you will find thorough information about each one of them.
The Profile Way:
Click the name of the Pet that has gone missing.
This will open up a new page with thorough information about that Pet and its characteristics, no matter what stage of life it’s in.
On the left sidebar menu below the Pet’s name, you’ll see a tab labeled Recall. Click it to visit the Recall Page.
Use the dropdown to select which Home your missing Mystic should be returned to, then click the green button.
If your Mystic is LOST due to a Second Life issue, the green button will show that it can be recalled for free.
If your Mystic is a RUNAWAY because it had no access to food, the green button will show that it can be recalled for 99 Magika.
Clicking the button will immediately begin the Recall process, and your Mystic will return to the selected Home shortly!
The HUD Way:
To start the redelivery process through your HUD, you’ll need the PetID code. First, click the missing pet’s name, as before – then look at the PetID code at the top of the list of information.
Copy this information, then return to your Second Life window.
Next, click the ME button at the top of your HUD.
This brings you to the front page of your HUD, where you will see a “LOST” button to the right.
Clicking this will prompt you to paste the PetID of your missing Mystic into the chat field in Second Life.
Paste the PetID code in the local chat field, press Enter, and your recovered Mystic will waltz happily out of its home! You can repeat this process for any pet you have lost.
NOTES: This will only work for Mystics that are truly lost: not in your Inventory, not rezzed inworld somewhere you’ve forgotten, but missing from Second Life entirely. If you attempt to recover a Mystic that is already existing somewhere in SL, the system will delete the old one, recognizing it as a duplicate.
If you attempt to recall a pet that you have stored in your inventory, that will work – but if you later attempt to rez that pet stored in your inventory, the other one will automatically delete itself: only one instance of the same pet can be rezzed inworld at any time.
You also cannot recover pets you have sold or traded.
With these tools, your purchases are protected, your game data is secure, and you can resume your normal gameplay as quickly as possible.
